World Cultures:
Big Ideas, Big Questions
A live, virtual, small-group, globally focused social studies course
This is not your typical social studies course. It is a carefully designed learning journey where students start with the facts and go deeper to explore the countries, people, and systems behind a major global topic.
Students will return to connected, cross-subject ideas, examine global questions from different perspectives, and apply what they learn through discussion, reflection, research, and presentation.
The Big Idea for 2026 / 2027
The 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup was more than a football (soccer) tournament. It was a window into the world —showing us how countries, cultures, histories, languages, migration, money, identity, and belonging are connected.

Global Citizenship
This structured course, based on an international curriculum, is designed to help students understand the world around them, think critically, and collaborate across cultures. Through seven spiral strands students build core skills in collaboration, communication, research, and evaluation year after year so they can thrive in a global, interconnected world.
Digital Citizenship and Future Skills
A skills-based course that helps students to navigate media and technology, think critically, evaluate information, develop research skills, communicate clearly, organize, plan and manage time effectively, make good decisions, collaborate and solve problems.
International Family Learning Trips
Learning about the wider world doesn't stop when a course ends.
Our Global Internationl Learning Trips gives GFA families the opportunity to explore new places together—connecting what students have learned through our courses with the people, cultures, histories, and everyday life of a destination.
